Allowed to continue poisoning the land with too many pesticides and chemical fertilisers
Human and animal health have no priority to European rulers
The hypocrisy in politics when a member of parliament successfully demands to ‘phase out’ intensive animal farming in the Netherlands, however his party agrees with it in a foreign country
As it voted against stopping the cruel transport of dozens of Dutch pregnant cows crammed together in boxes on their way to misery abroad (but the motion luckily made it)

In Spain boycotting Israel is feminism
The former minister of equality screams till her throat almost bursts
She stomps her feet, the people are cheering
About the fate of Israeli women in the slaughter she never said a word
She never defended the lives of women in Iran or in Afghanistan who are terrorised by Islamic fanatics
The Yezidi women burnt by their overlords, the abuse, the genocide hardly anyone in the west speaks about, she didn’t say a word
She never screamed for them, stomping her feet, her eyes flaming of hate
Can you believe it?
No country went to the International Court and demanded the end of the killings of the courageous Iranian men, women and children who stood up against their totalitarian government
A regime which allows dissident men to be hung in the streets, it happens every week
Women who speak up end up behind bars for years
You have to follow their sadistic laws and then all is fine
Do I hear people talk about terror states?
Nobody in our ‘civilised world’ went to the International Court to stop it, to end the femicides, the gender apartheid
Apartheid, exclusion, some know all about it
There were no sit-ins, nobody screamed their lungs out for these women, who just wanted the same rights as men, who longed to feel the wind blowing in their hair without being tortured
And they still do, their fight never ends
Talking about violating basic human rights
Can you believe it?
Nobody in the west gives a damn, no western feminist gives a fuck
So feminism only defends the women of a certain group or country, mostly only defends what is opportunistic
When this terrible bad guy (you know the ‘terror state’) is to blame, people give a damn a lot: activists, social justice warriors, intersectional feminists, people of the progressive left
I tell you this bad guy is hated as deeply as the ocean floor
Because too many children are dying, too many mothers without their child
It breaks my heart to see the despair, the fleeing to other places nowhere safe. It’s hell on earth
Each war is sickening, but why are many people in Europe so blind to the sadism, the betrayal by these fanatics of their own people?
You can’t erase that, but people do, making their intentions untrue

Denial taps into hatred
A chosen side that must be confirmed each time the news of another hundred dead is shared on timelines
Both sides who can’t see the pain of the other
Journalists, opinion makers, people in the media, people like you and me, only see the underdog and the one bullying him
I bet heads are cool with that, it makes life easy
But innocent people are in the middle finding death
If we in safe countries are not capable to see the pain of both people, then sure as hell they can’t in the centre of it all
So I went to my garden, shaking it off, frustration, anger, disappointment
Because there’s nothing I can do
I root in the soil, cutting leaves, harvesting vegetables
The soil which is life and gives life, I see worms moving
Signs of nature, signs of goodness
She never disappoints me
I wash the vegetables, cut them and see the wonder of what once has been a tiny seed
Each day I burn a candle on my small table to let the light prevail
Stronger than darkness, never fading away
I am free
I am safe
